Destin - Florida's Emerald Coast

Our first stop in Florida's panhandle didn't exactly bolster our opinion of Florida. While the trip along the Forgotten Coast was nice, the rain dampened our spirits a bit...(pun intended).  When we arrived in Destin, we were excited. We found it to be an upscale community along the Emerald Coast. What we found was a vibrant community teeming with activity, shops, restaurants and activities. We could really get used to living in or near this wonderful city. More pictures will follow this post...meanwhile, enjoy these pictures we took the day we arrived.
